Celebrity Traitors Season 2 Full Cast Revealed — Bella Ramsey, Michael Sheen, and Richard E. Grant Head to the Castle

The BBC has revealed the full 21-person cast for Celebrity Traitors Season 2. The announcement dropped on the morning of May 2, 2026, and within hours social media was alight — one Reddit user summed it up in two words: “Absolutely stacked.”

Filming begins this weekend at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, the same brooding estate that hosts both the British and American versions of The Traitors. The ten-episode second series is set to air on BBC One in Autumn 2026, with Claudia Winkleman returning to host and Ed Gamble back for the companion show Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked.

The Full Cast

The confirmed 21-celebrity lineup is: Amol Rajan, Bella Ramsey, Hannah Fry, James Acaster, James Blunt, Jerry Hall, Joanne McNally, Joe Lycett, Julie Hesmondhalgh, King Kenny, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Maya Jama, Michael Sheen, Miranda Hart, Myha’la, Richard E. Grant, Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan, Ross Kemp, Sebastian Croft, and Sharon Rooney.

That’s The Last of Us‘ Bella Ramsey. Oscar-nominated Richard E. Grant. Welsh acting legend Michael Sheen — Good Omens, The Twilight Saga — alongside Love Island host Maya Jama, comedian Miranda Hart, and Industry star Myha’la. Julie Hesmondhalgh is in the mix, as is former Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock and model Jerry Hall, who was reportedly among the first celebrities spotted arriving in the Highlands as filming kicked off. Sebastian Croft — who won hearts in Heartstopper — rounds out the acting contingent, while comedians James Acaster, Joe Lycett, Joanne McNally, and Rob Beckett bring the chaos energy the show thrives on.

The 21 stars will compete for a £100,000 prize, donated to the charity of their winner’s choice.

What Claudia Said

“We’re incredibly lucky these brilliant people have said yes. I’d love to say we’ll take it easy on them, and they’ll just wander round the castle and eat toast for a couple of weeks — but that would be a lie.”

Why This Season Has So Much Pressure on It

Season 1 — which aired from October 8 to November 6, 2025 — was a genuine cultural moment. It averaged 14.9 million viewers across its nine-episode run, with the finale averaging 11.1 million overnight viewers and peaking at 12 million. The BBC called it the top entertainment episode across the whole market since 2016. Alan Carr emerged as the Traitor in the closing moments of the finale, broke down in tears, won £87,500, and donated every penny to Neuroblastoma UK.

Season 2 is bigger in almost every way — 21 celebrities, up from 19, and ten episodes instead of nine. A renewed three-year BBC deal keeps both Celebrity Traitors and The Traitors in production through 2030. BBC Head of Entertainment Commissioning Kalpna Patel-Knight called it “a bona fide highlight of the year” and said the series has “well and truly captivated the nation.”

The Fan Theory Already Taking Over Social Media

Fans are already dissecting the lineup for Traitor potential. The most popular theory centres on the longtime friendship between Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan — one fan on X put it plainly: “Putting money on the fact that one of Rob and Romesh will be a Traitor and a Faithful.” Miranda Hart is also generating enormous enthusiasm, with fans already declaring her the winner before a single episode has filmed.

What to Watch For

Celebrity Traitors Season 2 premieres on BBC One in Autumn 2026. Filming continues at Ardross Castle this month — keep an eye on the castle gates, and watch for whenever the BBC drops a trailer.
