After two kids, a secret baby scandal, and one of the most explosive reunion episodes in Love Is Blind history, Amanda Rincon Jongård and Sergio Rincón are divorcing. The Love Is Blind: Sweden Season 1 couple confirmed the split publicly this week — Amanda broke the news on Instagram on April 21, 2026.
It’s the first divorce among the three couples who married during the Swedish spin-off’s debut season on Netflix.
The Announcement
Amanda posted a statement to her 103K followers that managed to be both raw and composed at once.
“It’s a decision that has not been taken lightly but this is the ending of our marriage. I doubt anyone ends up here due to a single disagreement. God knows the effort that have been put in to make it work. I followed my heart and fell in love with Sergio, and I will never regret any part of this journey as our marriage gave us our two beautiful sons.”
She continued: “Now is a time for reflection and growth, and to focus on being the best mom I can be. We now have a new, coparenting, relationship to learn to navigate. I’m not sure how I will handle everything both emotionally and practically, but one day at a time.”
The divorce was first reported by Swedish outlet Aftonbladet. Amanda filed through the Stockholm District Court in early April 2026. Under Swedish law, the couple now enters a mandatory six-month reflection period before the divorce is finalized. Sergio has not issued a public statement.
Two Kids, One Wild Ride
Season 1 premiered on Netflix on January 12, 2024. Amanda and Sergio were one of three couples to exchange vows that season — four couples reached the altar, but only three completed their vows, alongside Krisse-Ly and Rasmus Hedenstedt, and Meira Omar and Oskar Nordstrand. Their road to the altar was already messy before any vows were exchanged.
Rumors spread among cast members during filming that Sergio had fathered a child in Barcelona. The women grouped together to warn Amanda. Contestant Kimia told the camera: “How can you hide something like that? No matter how unpleasant it is, whatever the outcome may be, she has to know.” Sergio denied knowing anything about it. Amanda chose to believe him. They got married.
Then came the reunion — January 28, 2024 — which host Jessica Almenäs, the first solo host in Love Is Blind franchise history, called “unique in Love Is Blind history.” The episode revealed that Sergio did have a child, born in Sweden before their wedding, and that he had received the confirming paperwork shortly after the ceremony. Cast member Rasmus called him out on camera. Then, in the same breath, Amanda announced she was pregnant.
Their son Ralf was born on May 6, 2024 — making them the first couple from the Swedish series, and the third in the entire Love Is Blind franchise, to have a baby. Their second son, Hugo Alexander, arrived on July 2, 2025, after Amanda and Sergio announced that pregnancy on March 22, 2025. The March 2025 After the Altar special on Netflix featured the couple prominently, with Sergio’s “playboy tendencies” flagged as an ongoing tension point for viewers.
Where the Season 1 Cast Stands Now
Meira and Oskar and Krisse-Ly and Rasmus have not announced any separations — Amanda and Sergio are the first of the three married Season 1 couples to split. Season 2 of Love Is Blind: Sweden premiered on March 14, 2025, moving the franchise forward. Season 1’s story, clearly, is still unfolding.
Amanda was a 34-year-old economist when filming took place in 2023. She had spoken openly about wanting a family and a partner who shared her Christian faith. The end of this marriage carries real weight for her. “I followed my heart,” she wrote. That was never the part anyone doubted.
