Quick Update – Wofford Family Still in Encinitas Home

Good news from Encinitas, California. Brian Wofford, the single father of eight who received his home makeover in Season 2, continues to maintain the family property. As someone who tracks these families, success stories like the Woffords are exactly what I hope to find.

Now a proud grandfather, Brian has retired from his chiropractor practice. Despite facing a ballooning mortgage and no support from the show for payments, he managed to keep his family together in their transformed home.

The Encinitas Market

The Encinitas real estate market has appreciated significantly since the early 2000s. Properties in the area now regularly sell for over $1 million, making the Wofford home one of the more valuable EMHE properties still in original family hands.

Brian’s determination to keep the home stands in contrast to many other families who lost their properties to foreclosure or were forced to sell. That’s what makes his perseverance endearing to us and worth celebrating.
