Moondoggy’s Pizza & Pub was owned by best friends Brandy and Renesha. They had the passion and the friendship, but running a restaurant takes more than good intentions.

Unfortunately, the success didn’t last:
- The business was sold to a new owner shortly after the episode aired
- Ownership transitions brought new challenges
- Operational issues continued
- A late 2024 power outage was cited on Facebook, but no reopening followed
- By January 2025, the restaurant permanently closed
Reports indicate the building itself is being demolished or renovated for a new tenant.
Why Best Friends Don’t Always Make Best Partners
Moondoggy’s is a cautionary tale about mixing friendship and business. Brandy and Renesha’s personal relationship couldn’t compensate for the lack of restaurant experience, and the massive debt they’d accumulated was too deep a hole to climb out of permanently.
