Status: CLOSED (2024)
333 Restaurant in Grenada, Mississippi was a legacy restaurant that couldn’t survive its owner’s divided attention. Despite Restaurant Impossible’s intervention, staffing issues and the owner’s full-time teaching job led to closure in early 2024, with Lakeside Grill now operating in the space.

A Father’s Legacy
333 Restaurant started as something much simpler – a bait shop and beer joint run by Allyson’s father on scenic Loop 333 near Grenada Lake. When he retired, Allyson renovated the space and transformed it into a seafood and soul food restaurant.
Her father supported her dream until he passed away. Then Allyson was on her own, trying to run a restaurant while also working full-time as an art teacher.
The Episode (Season 21, Episode 8)
Title: “Schooling a Teacher”
Air Date: June 17, 2022
Filming: March 2022
Location: 515 Scenic Loop 333, Grenada, MS
Robert Irvine found a restaurant running on autopilot without a pilot. Allyson was frequently absent due to her teaching job, forcing staff to contact her before making any decisions. Service suffered from poor training, broken equipment, and unclear management protocols.
The episode title captured the irony: the teacher needed to be taught how to run her restaurant.
The Core Problem
333 Restaurant faced a fundamental challenge: Allyson couldn’t be in two places at once. Teaching art full-time meant the restaurant was frequently rudderless. Staff needed constant approval for decisions she wasn’t there to make.
Restaurant Impossible could improve operations, but it couldn’t give Allyson more hours in the day.
The Closure
333 Restaurant closed in early 2024. The combination of staffing issues and the owner’s split priorities proved insurmountable. Lakeside Grill now operates in the space.
Some restaurants need an owner who can be fully present. When that’s not possible, even the best makeover can’t fill the gap.

333 Restaurant’s closure isn’t a failure of food or concept – it’s a reminder that restaurants demand an owner’s full attention. Passion projects are wonderful, but they can’t run themselves.
